FAQ
I can provide training to larger groups, although live-fire exercise group sizes will be limited to safe numbers for the number of available instructors, and may require scheduling a session for a later date. Group discounts may be available depending on the venue costs and size of the group. Please email me with what you have in mind, and I will provide a quote.
I do not have any curriculum for advanced courses at this time, however, I do provide hourly coaching and consultation in which I can conduct drills to challenge you at your skill level, or focus on specific weaknesses you want to target. Personal marksmanship coaching is available with either live fire at a range, or at a location of your choice that is able to accommodate a firearm training simulator.
Yes, I have taught children as young as 5 the basic principles of firearm safety through the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts of America. The proper age to introduce your child to firearms is dependent on the specific development and maturity of your child, but many children begin to learn safety fundamentals through toy guns, such as foam dart guns, water guns, bb/air guns, etc.
I also have a virtual firearm trainer available as an option for providing a 100% safe marksmanship coaching experience!
I will not teach courses to anyone who is considered a "prohibited person" as described by the Gun Control Act (GCA) 18 U.S.C. § 922.
"The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person:
convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
who is a fugitive from justice;
who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802);
who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution;
who is an illegal alien;
who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;
who has renounced his or her United States citizenship;
who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner; or
who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
The GCA at 18 U.S.C. § 922(n) also makes it unlawful for any person under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year to ship, transport, or receive firearms or ammunition.
Further, the GCA at 18 U.S.C. § 922(d) makes it unlawful to sell or otherwise dispose of firearms or ammunition to any person who is prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing firearms or ammunition."
I am not a Federal Firearms Licensee, and as such I can not sell ammunition or firearms!
I do have firearms available for use during training, but all range fees and ammunition must be purchased by the customer!
Check the course descriptions for the recommended caliber, type, and amount of ammunition to bring or purchase at the range. If you are booking a coaching session, please email me a brief synopsis of what your goals are, and I will provide a recommendation.
